- How do I become a client of Markets Act Broker LTD?
To become a client, you need to complete and submit the online Application Form on the Company's website and provide all the required identification documentation. The Company will then send you a notice of acceptance if your application is successful. - What information and documentation are required to open an account as a natural person?
You will need to provide information such as your legal name, sex, date and place of birth, nationality, current and permanent residential address, any public position held and nature of employment, and government-issued personal identification number.
You will also need to provide documentation such as a current valid passport, national identity card, or driving license (with photographic evidence), as well as proof of your current residential address like a recent utility bill or bank statement (issued within the last three months). - What information and documentation are required to open an account as a legal person?
The Company requires information such as the legal status, legal name, trading names, nature of business, date and country of incorporation/registration, official identification/registration number, registered office address, mailing address, and principal place of business. You will need to provide documents like the certificate of incorporation, constitution/Memorandum and Articles of Association, register of directors/shareholders, company registry search, latest audited financial statements, annual report, and possibly a partnership deed or charter of foundation, depending on the type of legal person. An ownership chart showing the ownership and control structure is also required. - Can Markets Act Broker LTD refuse my application to open an account?
Yes, the Company is not obligated to accept any prospective client and has the right to refuse if it reasonably believes the client might pose a risk or if accepting the client would be against the Company's Client Acceptance Policy. The Company is not obligated to provide a reason for refusal. - What is Simplified Due Diligence (SDD)?
In certain cases, such as when the applicant is a regulated financial services business in a non-high-risk jurisdiction, a public company listed on a recognized stock exchange, government administrations, or certain pension schemes, the Company may apply Simplified Due Diligence (SDD) measures. For such applicants, the Company needs to obtain specific minimum information as outlined in the policy. Simplified CDD measures do not apply to clients acting as trustees, in cases of suspected money laundering or terrorist financing, or for high-risk clients. - What if my identification documents are not in English or French?
If your identification documents are in another language, a translation into English or French is mandatory.
